Class 1 Truck Driver Training

$50 MPI service may be required for students who need to self-book additional road test.

MELT Program Hours:
- 40-hours classroom
- 40.5 hours in-yard
- 41.0 hours driving
- 121.5 hours Total
Bonus Up to 80 hours of observation
Double Bonus Up to 4 MPI road tests (equivalent to 5 MPI single phase attempts)
Materials:
- Student Textbook
- Student Exercise Books
- Set of Class 1 study cards
- 2 months free online class 1 training video series subscription
Eligible for tuition tax credit – Form T2202 provided
Triple Bonus Finishing Period in 6th Week (Extra Free Lessons)

At the end of a MELT course a student needs to wait at least 3 days for a MELT completion report to be processed by MPI, before they are eligible to take a road test.
During the period a student is waiting for their road test we will provide extra hourly training in either practical or theoretical studies or a combination of both to make sure you are well prepared for your road test and your career.

MPI is currently providing up to two Phase 1’s and up to two Phase 2’s with course bookings directly to schools
Students must pass minimum standards to be eligible for a road test
Students who live in Winnipeg, must test only in Winnipeg
Students may have to book their own Phase 2’s directly with MPI after initial attempts
